What’s changing?

Users can now approve contracts directly from Slack without having to visit SpotDraft! The Slack App will send a notification each time an approval is requested, and users can take action right from the message.

Users can Approve :white_check_mark:, Reject :x: with a note, or View a contract as before--all from the Slack notification. Watch the video to see it in action :video_camera:

Why this matters

Problem Solved:

Previously, approvers had to click “View Contract” and navigate to app.spotdraft.com to approve or reject contracts. This was particularly cumbersome for mobile users, and users on-the-go.

With most approval information already visible in Slack notifications, we’ve eliminated unnecessary steps by adding direct action buttons to speed up the approval process.

• Executives who need to approve contracts quickly while on the go
• Business users who spend significant time in Slack and not as much on SpotDraft
• Mobile users who need to complete approvals away from their desks

How to use it

Receive notification: When you’re assigned as an approver, you’ll get a Slack message with contract details

Take action: Click “Approve” to instantly approve, or “Reject” to add rejection notes

That’s it! The message will update to show the completed action.

How to Enable: This feature will be rolled out gradually. Important note is that your Slack admin will have to reinstall the Slack App.
