Manual Full-Document Sync for DraftMate

VerifAI

Product Area: DraftMate Plugin (Verifai)

Impact of the Change: Quality of Life Improvement

Roles Impacted: All DraftMate users

Problem Statement

When users make rapid edits in Word - like hitting Ctrl+Z multiple times or deleting large chunks of text - Microsoft Word's API doesn't always broadcast every change to DraftMate. This causes sync issues, meaning DraftMate's AI works with an outdated version of your document, leading to suggestions that don't match your current draft.

Previously, the only workaround was to close and reopen the plugin - a clunky solution when you're in the middle of contract review.

Solution

We've added a "Sync Changes" button in the DraftMate plugin. Click it to perform a complete document sync. This ensures DraftMate's AI has the latest version of your document before you re-run your guide.

Important Callouts:

  • Manual Re-run Required: After syncing, you'll need to manually re-run your guide. Previous guide results will disappear during the reload.
  • When to Use: Use the Sync button after making rapid or bulk changes (especially multiple undos or large deletions) to ensure DraftMate is fully synced before running a guide.

How to Enable: Enabled for all customers on AI module
