Details

We had heard of use cases where users would like to hide certain columns on the questionnaire but retain it on the contract. An example would be:

  1. The last column of the table is computed field. (it could also be in the middle)
  2. I would like to hide it in the questionnaire because it is not an input field per se.
  3. However, this column should be visible on the questionnaire.

Another use case is I do not want CP to know what discount %age is applied automatically while answering questionnaire.

Problems:

  1. It was not possible for users to do it themselves.
  2. Legal team internally would have to spend 2X the time to get it done. First, make the main table to go in the document then copy the same table with same default, computations and create another one that goes in the questionnaire. It would get even difficult for contracts with multiple table. So, on average, if it took them 15 minutes to do this, for this use case, they would spend 30 mins.
  3. Further updates to such tables meant all the tables to be fixed again which is again double the work.

Solution:

SpotDraft's Dynamic Tables now offers a simple check on the column level to show/hide the column from the questionnaire. This is available for each column, so whether that column is in the beginning, middle or end, you can choose to hide it.

How to Enable:This is enabled by default for all customers.
