Editing approvers at contract-level

CLM
All Users
Q2 24

 Product Area:Approvals

Impact of Change:Enhanced security and functionality

 Roles Impacted:All Users

Details:

Currently users with editor/creator access to the contract can edit the approvers at a contract level. To make approvals more airtight, we have changed the access to edit approver from editor/creator access to users who have access to 'manage workflows & contract types'.

Key Changes:

Approval Editing: Only users/teams authorised to manage workflows and contract types will be able to edit pre-send/pre-sign approvals at a contract level.

Team POCs and Approvals: Team POCs will continue to have the capability to reassign approvals to other users. Likewise, users will remain able to approve within their own teams.

Important Note on Group Email IDs:

The update affects approvals currently assigned to group email IDs (e.g., finance@org.com, infosec@org.com). Users who typically reassign such approvals to themselves will no longer be able to do so unless they have the relevant access permissions.

Recommended Action:

We suggest transitioning approvers from group email IDs to individual user or teams. If notifications need to reach a group email ID, you can add this ID to the designated team.

In case you want any particular users/teams to be able to reassign approvals at a contract level, please give them the access to Manage Workflows from access control setup.

Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your attention to these changes as we strive to improve your experience with SpotDraft.
