We've added a new feature to help prevent duplicate contracts in the repository.
Problem Addressed: When users receive redlined documents from counterparties, many upload them as new contracts rather than as new versions of existing contracts. This creates duplicate records (6.21% of all contracts), causing repository clutter and reporting inaccuracies.Solution Overview: Now when users upload a document with the same counterparty and contract type as a new contract(upload for review, sign, executed), they will be informed about the potential duplicate and offered two options:Upload as a new version to the existing contractContinue creating a new contract recordThis improvement provides:Cleaner repository with fewer duplicatesMore accurate reportingStreamlined workflow for handling document versions
How to Enable: We'll enable this for selected customers and internal workspaces over this week and will be rolling out to all the Work spaces soon.
