Description:
We're excited to launch the Computation Builder, a new way to add powerful, automated logic to your workflow questionnaires (both template and upload workflows) without needing any technical expertise. You can now create formulas to automatically calculate values for fields like bonuses, totals, or other key metrics based on user inputs.
Hereโs what you can do with the Computation Builder:
- Automate Calculations: Build formulas directly within a questionnaire question. For example, you can now automatically calculate a "Retention Bonus" as 20% of the "Annual Gross Salary" entered by the user.
- Reduce Manual Errors: Fields with computations are automatically calculated and become non-editable for the person filling out the form. A (ฮฃ) symbol will indicate that the value is computed, preventing accidental overrides and ensuring accuracy.
- Centralized Management with Computation Library: All your formulas are stored in a central Computation Library on the workflow. From here, you can easily edit a formula in one place and see exactly which workflows and questions are using it, helping you understand the impact of any changes.
- Intuitive Formula Writing: The builder provides helpful suggestions and an easy-to-use syntax. We also provide a comprehensive guide to help you get started with writing formulas.
Please Note: Computations created with the new builder will override any older, code-based calculations associated with your templates or third- party workflows, creating a single, easy-to-manage source of truth.
