Automatic metadata extraction on contract execution

Problems: Previously, users had to manually run metadata extraction on each contract individually after execution. This created extra work and introduced the possibility of missed extraction, leading to incomplete metadata and reporting gaps. The manual process also meant that valuable contract data wasn’t immediately available for analysis after execution.

Solution:

We’ve added a new toggle in the Workflow Settings for each workflow called “Automatically Extract Metadata after Execution”! When enabled, Smart Data Capture will automatically extract metadata when a contract is executed, eliminating the need for manually clicking on Extract and ensuring your contract data is available right away. This is available for both Template and TPP contracts.

Important Callouts:

If SDC credits have been exhausted, metadata will not be extracted automatically (no alerts will be sent in this case)

This will only run extraction on the contracts once, upon execution

This only applies to newly created contracts after the workflow has been published

How to Enable: This feature is available to all workspaces who have extraction enabled.
